Ersamed SL-15 Thumb Brace is equipped with an aluminum splint designed to stabilize the saddle joint in a neutral position.
As a result, the soft elements of the joint are not overstretched, and inflammation is reduced. This allows the ligaments to heal freely and quickly. Additionally, due to its light malleability, the splint can be adjusted to meet the individual therapeutic needs of the patient.
The splint immobilizes only the thumb and wrist, leaving the other fingers fully mobile and functional. Furthermore, the orthosis includes a special strap for additional thumb stabilization and a wrist strap that securely fastens the brace in place.
The open design of the Ersamed SL-15 Thumb Brace makes it easy to put on. It is suitable for both the right and left hand. The construction allows for an ideal fit on limbs of any size. The slightly elastic material has thermoregulating properties and promotes faster healing and recovery after injury. It is definitely more comfortable for the patient compared to a traditional plaster cast.
