Pressure relief ring is used for the prevention of pressure sores in the sacral area, buttocks, as well as for the treatment of pressure ulcers in these areas by relieving the damaged surface and accelerating healing. The ring should be positioned so that the affected area is centered in the device. The skin should not come into contact with the surface of the ring.
It helps in the prevention and treatment of pressure sores on the hips, shoulders, and sacrum.
The rubber ring is inflated by mouth or using a bicycle pump. When inflating by mouth, the valve should be wiped with alcohol beforehand, and the opening covered with several layers of sterile gauze or fitted with a rubber tube on the valve.
